Hi, we’re Clint and Christel Humfrey. Welcome to our blog! Our theme is “From His to Ours to Yours” because God has given us a beautiful inheritance (Ps. 16:6) and we hope to share His grace with you here.
Clint is the lead pastor of Calvary Grace Church in Calgary, AB, Canada. He is a council member for The Gospel Coalition Canada and writes for 9Marks and TGC Canada. Born and raised on a farm in Southern Alberta, Clint has farmed and worked cattle for most of his life. Seeding fields and harvesting crops paid for his seminary education and later became a job to support his family while church-planting.
Clint’s interests are diverse. His blog posts cover a broad range from theology, exegesis, church history, politics, agrarianism, and cowboy poetry.
Christel is an editor for The Gospel Coalition Canada and has written for a number of websites including Revive Our Hearts, Boundless and TGC Canada. Christel has a B.A. in music with a minor in ballet and has always enjoyed the arts. Against all odds, she fell in love with a cowboy who also happens to be her pastor. Clint and Christel were married in 2003 and together they have three sons.
In 2013, Christel was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition that caused her life to become messier. When not writing, Christel is busy caring for her children, pushing back the chaos in her home, teaching women’s bible studies, listening to health and nutrition podcasts, or relaxing with a cup of tea and a good book.
